Authorship Criteria

EDUCAN: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam requires that authorship be based on substantial intellectual contributions to the research and manuscript. All individuals listed as authors must have made meaningful contributions to the work and must take responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the published article.

To qualify for authorship, each author must meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial Contribution: Contribute significantly to the conception or design of the study, the development of the research framework, data collection, data analysis, interpretation of findings, or the development of the scholarly argument.
  2. Manuscript Preparation: Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically reviewing it for important intellectual content.
  3. Final Approval: Approve the final version of the manuscript before submission and publication.
  4. Accountability: Agree to be accountable for their contributions and to help ensure that any questions concerning the accuracy, integrity, or originality of the work are appropriately addressed.

All individuals listed as authors must meet all the criteria above. Individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria but have contributed to the research through technical assistance, language editing, administrative support, or other limited contributions should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors solely on the basis of those contributions.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors have approved the manuscript, agreed to its submission to EDUCAN, and consented to the order of authorship. Any changes to the author list after submission must be explained to the editorial team and agreed upon by all affected authors.

EDUCAN does not permit gift authorship, in which individuals are listed as authors without qualifying contributions, or ghost authorship, in which individuals who have made qualifying contributions are omitted from the author list.

All authors are responsible for ensuring that their contributions are accurately represented and that the manuscript complies with the journal's publication ethics policies.
